Growing a Cannabis YouTube Channel to 30,000 Subscribers
We hit 30,000 subscribers, so I am celebrating the only way that makes sense: giving stuff away. One herbalist wins a lifetime DoseCraft subscription, and everybody gets two free tools, a strain card you can embed on your own website and a beat-marker generator for video editors. Plus the story of how a crashed art business turned into all of this.
by FordeeThirty thousand herbalists strong
This channel just crossed 30,000 subscribers, and I want to mark the moment properly: with a giveaway, two free tools, and the story of how we got here. If you are new around here, welcome. If you have been riding along since the beginning, you already know how much this means to me.
How Herbistry started
Herbistry exists because 2020 kicked my legs out. COVID hit, my art business dried up almost overnight, and I needed another way to keep the lights on. So I pointed a camera at the plant I know best and started talking. No studio, no plan, just consistency and a genuine love for the craft.
Growing a cannabis channel is a strange sport. The platforms would rather you did not exist, recommendations dry up without warning, and some weeks the hate rolls in for no reason. What keeps it moving is the community. The herbalists. You show up, you comment, you share the videos, and that is the entire reason there is a milestone to celebrate.
The giveaway: one lifetime DoseCraft subscription
DoseCraft is my app for homemade edibles. You tell it what went into your batch and it estimates how strong the result actually is, so you are not guessing with a tray of brownies. One of you is getting a lifetime subscription, every feature, forever, on me.
Full details on how to enter are in the video above. Entries close on Wednesday, July 16, 2026, and I will announce the winner in an upcoming video.
Housekeeping: this giveaway is not sponsored by, endorsed by, or associated with YouTube in any way.

Free tool one: a strain card for your website
The Strain Widget lets you put a live strain card on your own site. Pick any strain from a library of more than 8,500, choose the look, and copy two lines of code. The card shows real strain data, type, THC, terpenes and more, and it works anywhere you can paste a bit of HTML. It costs nothing.
I built it because plenty of you have websites, blogs, or shops of your own, and showing off your favorite strain should not require screenshots.
Free tool two: cut your videos to the beat
Tempo Marker is for the editors in the room. You give it your track's tempo and your frame rate, and it generates a beat grid you can drop straight into Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, or DaVinci Resolve. Downbeats, subdivisions, offsets, all of it lands as frame-accurate markers on your timeline, so you cut to the music instead of eyeballing waveforms. No tapping along, no drift, and nothing to install.
Where Herbistry goes from here
I want to be straight with you about the videos. I work on Herbistry every single day, but pumping out uploads while the algorithm sits on them started to feel like shouting into a pillow. So I shifted some of that energy into the website, the tools, and everything that makes this place stand on its own two feet. The videos are not stopping. They are getting a foundation under them.
Thank you for 30,000. Truly. You herbalists keep this whole thing breathing, and I do not take a single one of you for granted. Here is to the next phase, baby.
Support the channel
If you want to help keep Herbistry going, the shop is the best way to do it. Every piece of merch goes straight back into the channel, the tools, and everything else we are building here.
