DynaVap M7 XL Stealth Review: Titanium Tip, Torch and IH3.0 Timing Tested
Hands-on DynaVap M7 XL Stealth review: torch and YLLVape IH3.0 timings, titanium vs stainless steel differences, and whether the Stealth is worth the upgrade from a standard M7 XL.
The short version
The DynaVap M7 XL Stealth swaps the stainless steel tip and stem of the standard M7 XL for titanium, keeping the same XL condenser and stainless steel CCD. In testing, the titanium ramps up faster, the heat window is narrower, and repeat sessions come around quicker. It is not a beginner upgrade, but for anyone already comfortable reading a DynaVap click, it is a meaningful step up for speed and flavor. Correction: @plumokin5535 correctly pointed out that SS is more thermally conductive than steel. I misspoke in the video and want to correct it here for anyone reading. Stainless Steel is 14-16 W/m-K whereas Titanium is 6-8 W/m-K, the key different here is their thermal mass.
What is the M7 XL Stealth?
The M7 XL is DynaVap's larger-chamber tip, designed for one-and-done sessions with more material than the standard M7. The Stealth version keeps that chamber geometry but uses a titanium tip instead of stainless steel, which changes how the tip gains and sheds heat. Everything else, the condenser, the captive cap, the DynaVap ritual, stays the same.
Why titanium feels different
Titanium weighs roughly half as much as stainless steel for the same volume of tip. Less metal to heat means the tip reaches click temperature faster and cools faster once you pull it off the flame. The trade-off is a shorter sweet spot, so the timing that felt easy on a stainless M7 XL will feel aggressive on the Stealth until your hand recalibrates.
Mid-temp torch timing
With a single-flame jet torch and a cold start, I land consistent mid-temp sessions at around 10 to 14 seconds of heat, rolling the cap the whole time, pulling off the flame four seconds after the second click. Ambient temperature and draw style move that number more than most people expect, so do not take any number as gospel.
For fuller extractions, add one to two seconds of heat. If the vapor gets scratchy, back off.
YLLVape Stealth IH3.0 timing
On the YLLVape IH3.0 induction heater, sessions land around 5 to 7 seconds depending on battery charge. The Stealth fits cleanly in the heating coil, and because there is no open flame, the timing becomes much more repeatable. This pairing is where the M7 XL Stealth really shines if you are chasing consistency.
Titanium vs stainless: what actually changes
- Heat-up time: titanium ramps faster thanks to lower thermal mass
- Heat window: narrower on titanium, easier to overshoot if you torch too long
- Durability: both are solid, titanium resists scratches slightly better
- Taste: many users report cleaner flavor on titanium, especially on a fresh tip
- Weight: the titanium tip feels noticeably lighter in hand
- Price: titanium costs more; the Stealth premium is the price of performance
Should you upgrade?
If you already own a stainless M7 XL and feel limited by how long it takes to reheat between sessions, the Stealth is a real upgrade. If you are new to DynaVap, start with a standard stainless tip, build the muscle memory, and come back to the Stealth once your timing is reflexive.
