To vape hash with Norddampf Relict — or any conduction vaporizer — you need one key trick: never let the hash touch the oven walls. Hash isn’t full melt, but it will still melt when heated, and direct contact with the oven surface can ruin your device. Fordee solves this with cotton bacon: wrap your hash inside a piece of cotton, load it in, and the Relict does the rest. Best flavor hits at 410°F. Here’s exactly how to do it.
Why You Can’t Just Drop Hash in a Vaporizer
Mid-grade hash isn’t full melt, but it still liquefies under heat. In a conduction vaporizer like the Norddampf Relict, the oven walls heat up directly — meaning any hash touching those walls will melt into the device, potentially clogging the air path and ruining it. Norddampf sells concentrate pads for rosin and shatter, but those aren’t ideal for mid-grade hash. Cotton bacon is the better solution.
How to Vape Hash With Norddampf Relict: 5 Easy Steps
Step 1: Choose Your Carrier Material
You have three options for wrapping your hash before loading into the Relict:
- Cotton bacon — Fordee’s preferred method. It’s just cotton that looks like strips of bacon. Pull apart to create a center, wrap the hash inside, and load.
- Unbleached hemp fibers — Works the same way as cotton bacon. Cut to fit the 3g oven.
- Ground cannabis or CBD flower — Layer method: ground herb on the bottom, a pinch of hash in the center, another layer of herb on top. Works well if you want to combine.
Step 2: Wrap the Hash in Cotton Bacon
Cut a piece of cotton bacon sized to fit the Relict’s 3g oven. Pull it apart slightly to expose a center pocket. Take a small pinch of hash — don’t overload — and place it in the center. Wrap the cotton bacon around it so the hash is completely enclosed. The cotton acts as a barrier: if the hash melts under heat, it melts into the cotton rather than onto the oven walls.
