RAW Six Shooter Review: What Is This Cone Machine?
The RAW cone rolling machine is a plastic cone-filler that holds pre-rolled cones upright while you pack them with ground cannabis. The RAW Six Shooter gets its name from being able to fill up to 6 cones at the same time. It costs around $20 and comes with a packer tool and manual. Fordee says he’s been buying pre-rolled cones from dispensaries for years but never tried filling them at home until he found this thing.
RAW Six Shooter Review: Step-by-Step Walkthrough
Learning how to fill pre-rolled cones with the RAW Six Shooter is simple — here’s the full process from Fordee’s demo:
- Choose your mode. The center dial controls how many cones you can fill at once. Unscrew the center dial completely to drop it out — this opens up all 6 slots. For fewer cones, keep the dial in and adjust to show 1, 2, or 3 holes.
- Drop in the cones. Place RAW pre-rolled cones into each slot. One cone may need its tip opened with the packer — press gently from the bottom to pop it up, then use the packer to open the opening.
- Fill with ground cannabis. Dump your ground flower directly into the top of the machine. You don’t need to aim — just fill the whole chamber and the cannabis falls into each cone. Fordee grinds his cannabis before starting.
- Put the cap on and tap 10–15 times. Place the top cap on, then tap/hit it firmly against your rolling tray 10 to 15 times. The more you tap, the tighter the pack. Some small bits will fall through gaps — that’s normal.
- Take the cap off and use the bottom push plate to elevate the cones slightly. Move any remaining cannabis around with the packer to fill gaps.
