The GPen Hyer is a powerful e-rig built for concentrates, but oil residue builds up fast inside the atomizer and cap. Neglecting regular maintenance leads to harsh vapor, restricted airflow, and even permanent damage. When you clean GPen Hyer after every session, you avoid the deep cleaning nightmare and keep the device running at peak performance.

3 Supplies You Need to Clean GPen Hyer

Before you start, gather these essentials:

• Isopropyl alcohol (90% or higher recommended)
• Cotton swabs (Q-tips) for detailed interior work
• Wire brush for the glass adapter and stubborn residue

Step 1: Heat the Device to Loosen Residue

Turn on your GPen Hyer and set it to the highest temperature (red setting). Set the session timer to 45 seconds (three dots). Press the button twice to start the heating cycle. This burns off loose residue and softens stubborn oil buildup, making it much easier to clean GPen Hyer thoroughly.

Step 2: Disassemble and Soak the Cap

After the heat cycle, power off the device by holding the button for 3 seconds. Let it cool before handling. Unscrew the cap and drop it into a small container of isopropyl alcohol. Let it soak for 15-20 seconds while you work on other parts. The soak loosens baked-on concentrate residue.

Step 3: Clean GPen Hyer Atomizer Chamber

Dip a cotton swab in isopropyl alcohol and gently wipe around the inside of the atomizer chamber. Be extremely careful around the center glass post — it breaks easily under pressure. Keep dipping fresh cotton swabs and wiping until the swabs come out mostly clean. For heavy buildup, soak the atomizer in isopropyl alcohol for 15-20 seconds and repeat.

Clean the bottom contacts and thread area with a soaked cotton swab as well. Any oil on the electrical contacts can affect performance.

Step 4: Clean the Glass Adapter

Remove the glass adapter and use the wire brush to scrub inside. You can safely use a toothbrush on the glass adapter exterior — just never inside the atomizer chamber. The wire brush handles stubborn interior buildup effectively. After brushing, wipe down with an alcohol-soaked cotton swab.

Step 5: Reassemble and Burn Off Alcohol

Once all parts are clean, reassemble the device. Run one more heat cycle at the highest temperature for 45 seconds to burn off any remaining isopropyl alcohol. Do not inhale the fumes — open a window or use a fan. After this burn-off cycle, your GPen Hyer is ready for a fresh session.
