A broken cannabis table, a dead rabbit, and a fireball in the kitchen — welcome to one of those weeks. In this chill catch-up sesh, I’m sharing the wild story of how I destroyed my balcony sesh table, giving you a full spearfishing gear walkthrough, and keeping it real about some personal stuff I’ve been dealing with lately.
How I Ended Up With a Broken Cannabis Table
So here’s the story behind the broken cannabis table. A few weeks back, I was a bit stoned and browsing a supermarket website late at night. Without realizing the delivery was a week out, I ordered a whole rabbit. I’ve never cooked rabbit before, but in that moment I figured I’d try it Moroccan style in a tagine.
A week later, the order shows up and I’d completely forgotten about it. I start prepping the rabbit — quartering it, dealing with the head in the bag (which honestly freaked me out a bit). Meanwhile, I’ve got oil heating in the tagine on the stove. I get distracted trying to video call my niece and nephew to gross them out with the rabbit head, and the oil starts smoking under the lid.
When I lift the cover, white smoke billows out, the oil splashes onto the induction top, and a straight-up fireball explodes. I managed to put the cover back on to kill the fire, then I carried the scorching hot tagine outside and set it directly on my wicker balcony table. The tagine fused to the table and melted the top completely. RIP to the broken cannabis table — it was my favourite morning spot for bowls and coffee.
I’ve since bought a piece of wood from the hardware store and painted a new tabletop. Still debating whether to paint the legs or just leave them gray. Drop your opinion in the comments if you think I’m being lazy about it.
DynaVap Vong One-Hit Extraction With the Wand
Before diving into the stories, I kicked off the sesh with the DynaVap Vong Titanium and the Wand induction heater. Quick tip for a one-hit extraction with the captive cap: double-click the Wand to start it, drop the Vong on top, wait for the first click, start your hit, keep the Wand on a little past the second click, then pull it off. Full extraction in one go — no technique needed, just patience.
Spearfishing Gear — What I Pack for a Day in the Water
A bunch of you asked what I bring spearfishing, so I laid everything out. Here’s the full spearfishing gear list:
- Spear gun — I have four for different environments. This time I’m taking a one-meter gun with a single wrap, ideal for close quarters.
- Fins — Mine are about seven years old and beat up from standing on rocks. They’re consumables at this point.
- Buoy with dive flag — Floats on the surface to warn boats and jet skis. Also holds a stringer for your catch and a weight to anchor it.
- Wetsuit — Shout out to Venture Wetsuits from Hawaii. I use a 3.5mm suit year-round here in Barcelona. Pro tip: fill a thermos with hair conditioner and water, pour it inside the open-cell neoprene before putting it on, or you’ll rip the suit.
- Waterproof bag — Everything goes in the water with me: clothes, flip-flops, wallet, keys. I also keep my phone in a separate waterproof phone pouch inside the bag for extra protection.
- Dive knife — Not just for dispatching fish. It’s a safety tool in case you get tangled in fishing line or a net underwater.
- Gloves and boots — I pack both 3.5mm and 5mm versions depending on water temperature. Thicker means warmer but less finger mobility.
- Mask and snorkel — Make sure your mask fits your face. If you have a moustache, trim it or use Vaseline to create a seal, or water will slowly leak in.
Cannabis and Spearfishing — Do They Mix?
Short answer: no. I don’t blaze before spearfishing. You need full lung capacity underwater — the mammalian dive reflex slows your heart rate and lets you hold your breath longer, but any movement (kicking, diving, aiming) burns through your air fast. The mammalian dive reflex is your best friend, and cannabis would only work against it. I can hold my breath for about a minute and a half, maybe two minutes in ideal conditions, but every bit of energy you expend underwater cuts that time down.
I taught myself spearfishing from YouTube about six or seven years ago. I’m not a trained diver, but I catch the biggest fish among my friends — a couple of whom are actually trained. Biggest flex on this channel, honestly. When you get in the water, everything else disappears: stress, worries, the noise of the world. It’s like being on an alien planet where it’s just you and the ocean.
Broken Cannabis Table and Life Updates — Keeping It Real
Beyond the broken cannabis table saga, I’ve been dealing with some heavy personal stuff. A family member isn’t doing well, and I got screwed over financially by a company. When life piles on, you need something that re-centres you. For me, that’s spearfishing and making videos for this community. I try to bring positive energy to every video even when things are tough, because nobody wants to watch monotone content.
I appreciate every comment, like, and interaction more than you know. It keeps me going. Thank you for your patience and support — nothing but love, always.
