Baba Ganoush – Infused Vegetarian Appetizer | Herbistry420
Ok, writing a better description today. Clearly I should label my infused oils, butters, etc… I forgot how strong this oil was. I used 1/2 cup (8 tbsp) of infused Olive Oil, then proceeded to eat 1/5 of the Baba Ganoush after the video… clearly that was too much, hahaha, I couldn’t focus long enough to finish the description of the video. hahaha
Somehow I still got the video up though, so I’m pleased with that.
This is an easy eggplant dip, that is tasty and pairs well with lots of different types of meals. Baba Ghanoush is a Levantine appetizer consisting of finely chopped roasted eggplant, olive oil, lemon juice, various seasonings, and tahini. The eggplant is traditionally baked or broiled over an open flame before peeling, so that the pulp is soft and has a smoky taste. It is a typical meze (‘starter’) of the regional cuisine, often served as a side to a main meal and as a dip for pita bread.
Mind you I didn’t char the eggplant as I do not have a gas stove, however that would make it even better if you did!
