Making FECO | First Attempt Small Batch | Herbistry420
I decided I wanted to try and make FECO. “Full Spectrum Oil” is a term that was coined for CBD marketing, but the non-marketing term is “Full Extract Cannabis Oil” or FECO. In the past, another term used to describe this was “Rick Simpson Oil” or RSO, but that is being used less today. I used 60ml of my Green Dragon, added it to a shot glass and put it on a coffee mug warmer. I wasn’t sure how long it would take and I used the highest setting on the mug warmer which is less than 160F. I figured it wouldn’t burn at that temp and should hurry things along a bit. It took roughly 8 hours which I condensed into a little over 1 minute timelapse in the video. I stopped it before extracting all the alcohol (although very little was left), because I did not have anything on top of the shot glass to catch any splatters, etc. The tincture doesn’t boil, but when it gets down low… it can splatter evidently.
I am going to do another video later this week with the same amount of Green Dragon, using the lowest heat setting and with a catch on top of the glass. Any other suggestions?
